Connecting and configuring an 80mm thermal printer
Tamit POS works with most standard 80mm thermal printers — Xprinter, Epson TM-T20, Bixolon, and others. No special driver is needed — the connection runs over local IP or USB.
Network connection (recommended)
- Connect the printer to your router with an ethernet cable.
- Press the top button on the printer — it will self-print a page showing its IP address.
- In Tamit: Settings → Printers → Add.
- Enter the IP, pick 80mm format, click "Test".
- You'll get a test print. If it works — save.

USB connection
If there's no network — plug the USB cable directly into the computer. On Windows, you'll need to install an ESC/POS driver once. After that, Tamit sends the receipt straight from the browser to the printer.
💡 Tip
This printout is a display copy — not a legal invoice. The official invoice is sent to the customer by email/WhatsApp from the ERP. Thermal prints = customer service, not legal documents.
Common issues
- Nothing prints — is the printer on the same network? Try pinging the IP.
- Prints "gibberish" — wrong encoding. Switch to CP862 or UTF-8.
- Print is reversed — physically rotate the printer 180°, or change the "RTL print" setting.
