Connecting Facebook and Instagram
The connection runs through Meta OAuth — you sign in with your account and grant Tamit permission to publish to the pages you manage. The connection lasts 60 days, then needs renewal (Meta requires this for security).
Connection steps
- Social Studio → Settings → Connect Facebook/Instagram.
- You'll be sent to Meta's login page. Important: you must sign in with an account that manages the page.
- Pick the page / profile you want to connect.
- Check all the permissions — otherwise some capabilities won't work.
- Return to Tamit — you'll see "Connected" with the page's profile picture.
Why Instagram requires Facebook
Meta requires every Instagram account to be linked to a Facebook Business Page. If your Instagram isn't linked yet — do that first from the Instagram app (Settings → Link to Facebook page).
⚠️ Renewal every 60 days
Meta auto-expires the token. Tamit emails you 7 days in advance, and after it expires — scheduled posts will not publish until you reconnect.
If the connection fails
- "You're not an admin" — you're not set as a page manager. Ask the owner to add you.
- 403 Forbidden — iframe issue. Open Tamit in a regular browser tab (not inside another app).
- "Business Verification required" — if you want to run paid ads, Meta requires business verification. Organic posting still works without it.
💡 Tip
The first connection only authorizes organic publishing. To run paid ads you'll also need a Business Manager + active Ad Account. See the
